Science of Track and Field (Northwest Passage)

Running has long been regarded as one of the purest forms of human exercise.  It utilizes all the body’s vital systems, and reveals a lot about a person’s physical make-up.  For this reason, the science community has always been drawn to the sport of track and field. Lately, the roles seem to be reversed.  It’s now the athletes and coaches who look more and more to the scientists for guidance.  KLCC’s Andrew Bartholomew reports on a group of scientists at the University of Oregon soon to be at the center of Track Town, USA.
