Changes at Q

KLCC learned on Sunday, October 26 that the CBC has ended its relationship with Jian Ghomeshi, host of the program “Q.”  CBC will continue to produce the program with substitute hosts until a new host is brought on board. 

The Q website posted this information about the Future of Q

KLCC will continue to air the program until further notice.

NPR News Correspondent Howard Berkes will be in Eugene November 12 to speak about the impact of new media on traditional media. 

His presentation Typewriter to Twitter – an NPR Reporter's Journey will be held at 175 Knight Law Center on Wednesday, November 12 at 7 p.m. 

The public is invited to this free event.

Imagine journalism with no computers, no internet, no cell phones, and no Twitter.  That’s what it was like 35 years ago when NPR Correspondent Howard Berkes began his radio journalism career at KLCC in Eugene.
