The Marine Science Center currently houses 50 students. The other 4 public universities in Oregon will move to their own boards next year. From age 7, she knew she wanted to be a doctor. Lee hopes to fulfill that dream but knows it will be an expensive journey through college. The popularity of the free and credit-less classes have risen in recent years.</p><p>The eight-week course is called "Supporting English Language Learners under New Standards." It's targeted to K-12 educators. OSU Assistant Professor Karen Thompson says the course is designed to help implement the new Common Core Standards States are required to adopt. KLCC's Tiffany Eckert reports the 35 million dollar project is expected to take a little over a year.</p><p></p><p>Center Building was built nearly 50 years ago and it shows. Siding is peeling away, concrete walls and walks are blemished. Lane County voters approved an 83 million dollar bond six years ago.
