Now there is a new partnership, led by student interns.</p><p><br />Sergeant Lisa Barong is with the EPD crime prevention unit:<br />Barong: "Our local college students are victims of property crime at a much higher rate than most of the citizens in our community."<br />Last school year, the police worked with a public relations class at the U of O. Residents who normally don’t drive between 1 and 5 AM can volunteer to receive a sticker to place in their rear window. The sticker allows police to pull the car over during those hours to confirm that the driver is the owner.
