Tim Gleason

Tim Gleason serves on the KLCC Public Radio Foundation.

Tim is a Professor of Journalism at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC), where he joined the faculty in 1987, and was dean from 1997 to 2013. He is also the UO Faculty Athletic Representative designee. From October 2014 until June 2014 he was a Special Assistant to the Provost. Gleason was the recipient of the 2012 AEJMC/Scripps Howard Foundation Journalism Administrator of the Year Award. He was the first recipient of the SOJC Jonathan Marshall Award for Innovative Teaching. He published two books and numerous journal articles and op-ed columns. Gleason holds the Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Washington. In an earlier career, he was a photojournalist and reporter in New York State.
