A second top executive at Nike sportswear has resigned following allegations of inappropriate workplace behavior.

The Wall Street Journal reports Jayme Martin, Nike's vice president and general manager of global categories, resigned Friday. Martin also worked closely with Brand President Trevor Edwards, who announced his departure from the company Thursday.

The pair reportedly protected male subordinates who engaged in behavior that was demeaning to female colleagues.

A memo to staff this week said the behavior didn’t reflect the company’s "values of inclusivity, respect and empowerment."
