A year after his upset presidential victory, critics of Donald Trump took to the streets of Eugene today. As KLCC’s Brian Bull reports, the protest went primal, fast…
About 30 people with the group, Indivisible Eugene, gathered near the federal courthouse, to decry the GOP tax bill, Trump’s cabinet picks, and the President’s inaction on gun control following mass shootings in Las Vegas and Texas.
With real and paper megaphones at the ready, anti-Trump activists let loose with what’s called “primal scream therapy”…a way to release pent-up frustration.
"AAAAAAAaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!”
This went on….
“AAAAAaaaahhhh!!!”
…a couple more times…
“AAAAAaaaahh!!”
Activists then took to the streets, asking drivers to honk for Trump’s impeachment. Lin Woodrich says it’s been a rough, and regressive year for the country.
“It seems to be going backwards, the EPA, all the science deniers," Woodrich tells KLCC.
"It…it just doesn’t make any sense. We’re totally frustrated.”
Not everyone honked in solidarity. One man leaned out of a passing pickup to yell, “Build the wall!”
