Track and field fans are invited to historic Hayward Field Saturday for the 2nd annual "Fan Fest."
It starts at 10 in the morning with kids rotating through stations where they'll be introduced to various track and field events.
Casey Johnson is with the University of Oregon Athletic Department. He says the youth can get training tips from some highly-skilled helpers.
Johnson: "All of our coaches and all of our athletes will be there on Saturday, hanging out with the kids and sort of teaching them some of the basics, and it's a good chance for them to learn from the best in the nation."
There will be a chance for photos and autographs with members of the Oregon Track and Field team.
At 11:30 Saturday morning, there's a community mile run/walk at Hayward. It's all ages.
