Portland-based author Lindsay Hill has created an unusually structured novel called Sea of Hooks that follows his protagonist through a series of traumas and transformations, taking him from youth in San Francisco to an adulthood search in Bhutan. The book’s spiritual insights and literary power have brought it national acclaim, including being named by Publishers Weekly as one of the ten best books of 2013. Lindsay Hill speaks with Eric Alan, before giving a reading at the Downtown Eugene Public Library on Wednesday, June 11th.
