More Snow Forecast Early Wednesday In S. Willamette Valley

As temperatures rise, the snow and ice are thawing Monday, in the Eugene area, but the National Weather Service says more snow may fall in the South Willamette Valley Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Hydrologist Andy Bryant says temperatures will probably be in the low to mid 30s, but…
Bryant: “A lot of times we’ll see that if the snow is coming down heavy enough, even if the temperature is a little above freezing, it can still accumulate on the ground. So it could be another complication for Wednesday morning.”
Bryant says people may face a tough commute and schools may yet again be on delay or closure depending on how much snow falls. Then, later this week, temperatures are expected to drop to the 20s overnight with daytime temps in the 30s. But no precipitation is expected Thursday and Friday.
