Oregon Voters Might Get 2 Ballots In The Mail

Oregon voters who changed their party affiliation in the weeks before the April 26th registration deadline may receive two ballots.

Secretary of State Jeanne Atkins says that happens each election, but this year was unusual. Atkins says,
“Because there was such great interest and so many people going online to change their registration late.”
If voters do get 2 ballots, Atkins says voters should cast the one that reflects their most recent registration status.  She says because ballots are tracked by barcode, it’s impossible to vote twice.
Oregon voters who are concerned they’ve received the wrong ballot or who haven’t yet gotten a ballot should contact their county elections office.
Atkins expects high voter turnout for the May 17th election, since it’s an open presidential primary.
