Captain Eric Olsen of the Spokane Police Department talks to reporters Wedensday.

Spokane police say they believe a former Pasco, Washington, police officer accused of a 1986 homicide may have assaulted other women.

Richard Aguirre was arrested this week and accused of killing Ruby Doss in Spokane nearly 30 years ago. Now investigators say they uncovered videos that allegedly show multiple unidentified victims of Aguirre.

Police are not revealing many details about the recordings or how many women are on them. Captain Eric Olsen told reporters Wednesday the women were likely recorded without their knowledge.

"We are hoping that victims will recognize that law enforcement in protecting not only them but potentially other victims and will be willing to come forward and contact us,” Olsen said.

Olsen said he expects other charges to be brought against Aguirre, including rape and voyeurism.

Aguirre also faces a separate rape charge in the Tri-Cities area. DNA collected in that case led to a match from the 1986 Spokane cold case, according to investigators.

Aguirre pleaded not guilty to the rape and is expected to plead not guilty to the 1986 murder.
