South Eugene Home Destroyed By Fire

Kyle Huges.

UPDATE: 5:15pm

It is anticipated that two to three fire companies will remain on scene until this evening for further overhaul and initial fire-cause investigation. Fox Hollow Road remains closed to through traffic between Owl Road and Cline Road. Approximately 20 emergency vehicles responded initially to find several out-buildings and vehicles involved with fire spreading to the southeast. There were more than 60-70 personnel from Eugene Springfield Fire and Oregon Department Forestry. The immediate strategy was to keep the fire contained to the area of origin and prevent further spread up Spencer’s Butte. There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries.
