A conversation with Grammy-nominated producer Don Ross, one of ten producers for the Make-a-Band contest sponsored by the Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene. The interview includes music from Big Tuna, the band Don Ross produced, who will perform in the Make-a-Band Showcase on Friday, May 1st in Eugene’s downtown park blocks. 

Taking Art to the Streets

A public forum about street art will be held at Cozmic in Eugene on Tuesday evening. Panelist Isaac Marquez, the City of Eugene’s Public Art Manager, speaks with Eric Alan about creating engaging public art, the boundaries between art and graffiti, and how street art is pushing contemporary art forward. 

As part of a national series called Creative Conversations, Emerging Leaders in the Arts Network (ELAN) and the Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene (ABAE) present “Bridging the Bubble between Campus and Community in the Arts,” Wednesday evening, October 30th at the Lincoln Gallery of the Oregon Supported Living Program in Eugene. Eric Alan speaks with Evelyn Thorne of ELAN and Karen Rainsong of ABAE.
