The city of Cottage Grove hopes a new business can sweeten its local economy.  A budding chocolatier opened a storefront this fall, with an emphasis on direct trade buying and educating customers on where their food comes from.  KLCC’s Brian Bull paid a visit to Sanity Chocolate, and has this report.

OSU Professor Gives A Lesson In "Hop-Forward" Beer

Hops are a key ingredient in craft beer. At a lab at Oregon State University, the analysis and development of hops continue. KLCC's Emily Greene spoke with Dr. Tom Shellhammer, a an OSU professor of Food Science and Technology in Corvallis.

Millions of Americans will be participating in Super Bowl parties today. During the match between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, many viewers will be drinking their favorite craft beer, and there's a good chance it's from Oregon. The State has become known for its micro-brew around the world including markets such as Europe, Asia, and Australia. Oregon Department of Agriculture Trade Manager Amanda Welker says big name beers are on the decline.
