And then there were four. Well, by Monday there will be four, and the Ducks won't be among them.

The University of Oregon men's basketball team ended their storybook season Saturday. They lost 80 to 68 to Oklahoma in the Elite 8 round of the NCAA tournament.

The Ducks never found an answer to Oklahoma's Buddy Hield, who scored 37 points, hitting eight 3 pointers.

The number one seeded Oregon men's basketball team takes on 2 seeded Oklahoma this afternoon (Saturday). This year has been a storybook season for the Ducks. It's the sixth time in school history the team has advanced to the Elite 8. It's also the first time the Ducks won both the Pac-12 regular season and tournament titles.

Duck Men Are No. 1 Seed in Western Region

The University of Oregon men's basketball team continued their storybook season Saturday night winning the Pac-12 championship in Las Vegas. The 8th ranked Duck's defeated the University of Utah Utes 88 to 57.

This is the fourth Pac-12 title for the Ducks. Tyler Dorsey scored 23 points, Dillon Brooks added 18. Defense played a big role. Oregon had 18 steals and scored 23 points off 17 offensive rebounds. It was the second-most lopsided game in tournament history. The Ducks' record is the best after 34 games since 1938.

On Sunday evening, the Ducks face the Huskies at Matthew Knight Arena. A Eugene startup will use the game to test its future-predicting technology.

Ducks Play Wisconsin Next In NCAA Tournament, Again.

The University of Oregon Men's Basketball team stays alive in the NCAA tournament. The 8th seeded Ducks defeated 9th seeded Oklahoma State 79-73 Friday night. Dillon Brooks had 17 points for the Ducks. Head Coach Dana Altman got the win in his return to Omaha in the same building where he once coached Creighton. Oregon Guard Joseph Young was asked about playing Wisconsin next, the team that ousted the Ducks in the tournament last year.

Ducks Out of NCAA Tournament

The University of Oregon Men's Basketball team has won an NCAA Tournament game in consecutive seasons for the first time in program history. But, the University of Wisconsin Badgers ended the Ducks' season Saturday 85 to 77 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Ducks had a great first half despite Wisconsin's five offensive rebounds. Oregon went into the locker room with a 12-point lead and a lot of momentum.

Ducks Advance in NCAA Tournament

The University of Oregon men’s basketball team advanced to the field of 32 in the NCAA tournament Thursday.  They soundly defeated BYU 87-68.  Oregon’s Elgin Cook had a career high 23 points off the bench, playing in his home town of Milwaukee. Oregon will stay in Milwaukee to play Wisconsin Saturday.

Saturday was a big day for Oregon basketball. The University of Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball team hosted a packed house at Mathew Knight Arena against number 3 Arizona. 

Jason Calliste made the go-ahead jumper and free throw with 4:22 left and finished with 18 points as the Ducks upset the Wildcats 64-57. Oregon's six-game winning streak keeps them eligible for a possible NCAA tournament bid and gave them their fourth straight season with at least 20 victories. Head Coach Dana Altman says fans energy was crucial to the victory.

The University of Oregon men’s basketball team dropped in this week’s national rankings after chalking their first loss of the season on Sunday.  The Ducks lost to Colorado on the road.  They dropped from number 10 to 17 in Monday’s A-P top-25 poll. 

Before the loss, the Ducks were one of only seven still-undefeated Division 1 teams.  

Oregon plays again this Thursday at home against California.

Two Oregon Basketball Players Suspended

Two University of Oregon basketball players are being suspended for a yet-to-be decided number of games for violating NCAA rules. This could put a damper on the season opener for the #19-ranked men's team.

The U of O Athletic Department announced Tuesday that Sophomores Dominic Artis  and Ben Carter would be suspended for an undetermined number of games for selling team-issued clothing.  NCAA rules state that each will have to donate the value of the apparel to charity.
