Super Bowl Sunday Not Linked To Domestic Violence Increase

The long-lasting claim linking domestic violence and Super Bowl Sunday doesn't hold true for Lane County.

Peggy Whalen from Womenspace in Eugene says in her 25 years of work in the field, she has never once seen rates spike because of the game.

"There definitely isn't a correlation between Super Bowl Sunday and domestic violence. I do, however, think that this is a really important thing to be discussing, especially this year."

NFL Teams Visit U of O, Scout Talent

Football players from the University of Oregon had a chance to audition for a spot in the NFL today. 

Scouts and personnel held drills and took notes on current Ducks planning on entering the NFL Draft. Drills included the 40 yd dash, “shuttle” sprints," and passing exercises. Cornerback Avery Patterson said the drills can be a little nerve-wracking.
