Run Boy Run returns to the KLCC listening region from Arizona, bringing a progressive take on bluegrass that  weaves elements of everything from old-time Americana to classical and jazz. Garrison Keillor wrote the liner notes for their debut So Sang the Whippoorwill, and their second CD Something to Someone was recorded in the Pacific Northwest, and recently released on vinyl. Run Boy Run performs on Thursday, September 24th, at the Axe and Fiddle in Cottage Grove, and they visited the SELCO Performance Hall of the KLCC studios for songs and conversation.

Run Boy Run is a progressive bluegrass band from Arizona, weaving occasional elements of classical and jazz into their sound at times. Their first full-length CD, So Sang the Whippoorwill, was released last year, with liner notes by Garrison Keillor. A new CD called Something to Someone will be out this fall. Run Boy Run stopped by the KLCC studios for songs and conversation, before perform at the Axe and Fiddle in Cottage Grove on Friday, May23rd.They will return to the KLCC listening region on Wednesday, May 28th for a show at Bombs Away Café in Corvallis.
